At Progress we love to show people the beauty of surfing and of the ocean. Whether they are 6 or 66, everyone can join a surf class. As we are a hostel we only have a few lessons per day. So this means a whole lot of time to surf for yourself!
Tasks & Responsibilites
Giving practical surf lessons in small groups (max. 8 people)
Teach at beginner and intermediate level
Preparing your classes and following up on them
Care & maintenance of the equipment together with the surf shop assistants
Skills & Requirements
Approval from ‘Direction de la Jeunesse et des Sports’ in France. (We can explain you how to get it)
ISA level 1 Surf Instructor qualification (must be up to date)
Valid lifeguard certificate
Medical Certificate
Criminal Record Check (must be up to date)
European passport or valid working visa
A few months experience
Fluent in English (French is a bonus!!)
