About the position

As head of maintenance you will be the point of contact when something is damaged or broken at the hostel. Together with your team you will come to a solution. Maintaining the toolshed will also be your responsibility as well as keeping track of who was using which tools. Often you will go on a shopping trip if the hostel is in need of more appliances.

Tasks & Responsibilites

Check daily with the general crew manager and the reception team what needs to be done.
Unlock the toolshed at the start of the day and lock it at the end
Keeping track of outgoing tools and materials
Doing a shopping run on occasion
Help us come up with new ideas on how to improve the hostel and make it more sustainable
Making the weekly schedule

Skills & Requirements

You have an understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other trades.
You love getting your hands dirty and love anything and everything DIY
You have a creative mind
You see the solution and not the problem
You are at least 25 years old
You have a European drivers’ license
