Kitchen Chef

About the position

Running a hostel is hard work and so we need to make sure that the body gets its fuel. Good, healthy and filling food that’ll keep us going for the next few hours! So we are looking for a  chef to help the Food coordinator to provide the crew with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tasks & Responsibilites

  • Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the crew
  • Counting stock and buying groceries once or twice a week
  • Cleaning and organizing the kitchen
  • Taking over the role of the food coordinator when it’s their day off
  • Helping out where needed

Skills & Requirements

  • You have experience as a vegetarian chef and have cooked for bigger groups 
  • You know the HACCP requirements
  • You are well organised and responsible
  • Preferably you have worked as a chef before
  • You can work independently and you see what needs to done
  • You are fluent in English 
  • You are at least 25 years old 
  • You have a European passport (or valid working visa)
  • You have a European Drivers’ license


  • Accommodation: private tent with mattress and bedding
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday
  • 1 day off / week
  • Free use of surf and hostel equipment
  • Working under the terms of a short-term French contract
