Food Coordinator

About the position

Every day our crew give their best for our guests. To do so they need to be fed and nourished every day. And as we strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible we decided in 2021 to go completely vegetarian/vegan. As our Food coordinator you are in charge of running the kitchen so we can serve the crew healthy colorful soul food.

Tasks & Responsibilites

  • Ordering/picking up   groceries within the weekly budget
  • Doing a weekly stock count. 
  • Making the weekly menu and schedule. 
  • Running the kitchen according to the HACCP requirements
  • Work together with the Kitchen Chef
  • Planning and performing weekly meetings
  • Close cooperation with the other coordinators

Skills & Requirements

  • You have experience as a vegetarian chef and have cooked for bigger groups 
  • You know the HACCP requirements
  • You are well organized and responsible
  • Preferably you have worked as a head or sous chef before
  • You know how to work with budgets
  • You are at least 25 years old 
  • You have a European Drivers’ license.
  • You can work independently and not afraid to try new things
  • You know how to lead people and motivate them


  • Free accommodation: a private tent with mattress and bedding
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday
  • 1 day off / week
  • Free use of surf and hostel equipment
  • Working under the terms of a short-term French contract
