If you are interested to work for Progress this summer, please register on the mailing list below so we can let you know once we start the application process. We need around 30 motivated people to help us build up the hostel again next year in april/may and for the summer we’re looking for 40-60 people in different hospitality functions ranging from reception work, kitchen work, cleaning and more. Have a look at some of the function descriptions below, more info coming soon!

Building crew

Before we open our camp we need to quite some work! The work consists of setting up tents, building central area’s, the mini-ramp, electricity, decorations  and more! If you like to work with your hands in a small motivated team, and go for a surf in the morning or evening (depending on when the waves are good) apply for the building period! 

Period: Building up: May, building down: September

Hostel crew

When our hostel is open we need at team to run everything from cleaning to cooking and welcoming guest. The hostel will be open from May  till beginning of September. We need most people in July and August.

Head of team

You’ll be the first point of contact for the general crew. Responsible for making the weekly shifts and keeping the crew doing their job right.

Head of reception

As head of reception you are the first point of contact for the reception team. You will assist them with their daily tasks, make the weekly shifts, as well as some administrative work.

Head chef

You'll be cooking dinner for the crew and guests every day. Responsible for the dishes, stock counting, shopping.
Kitchen experience required.

Breakfast manager

As breakfast manager you are the main responsible for everything that has to do with the breakfast. Presentation, stock keeping, financial calculations, cleaning, and managing your co-breakfast crewmember. Kitchen / bar experience required

General crew

The general crew creates the vibe at the hostel. You’re not afraid to talk to strangers, and motivate guests or colleagues. You’ll be doing some day to day jobs like dishes, laundry, room cleaning and camp cleaning.

Reception

You’ll be the central point of contact for guests. Check people in and out. Work with our booking system. Keep up the mails, answer the phone and do some daily administrative work.

Assistant chef

Helping the head chef with prepping the meals and cleaning the kitchen. Responsible for the dinner once a week when the head chef has a free day.

Entertainment

Organizing daily activities for our hostel. You’re responsible for organization and promotion of the activities. You know how to get people motivated. Be the entertainer!
